Electric Force is Everywhere

Wondering how electricity is pertinent to audiology? If so, prepare to learn about the extent to which electric force is all around us and how it affects almost everything we do. On a large scale, electric force helps to keep the particles of atoms bound together - meaning electric force helps to hold the universe together (all matter is made of atoms). On a more audiology-specific scale, electric force governs not only the equipment we use in the clinic, but many of the biological processes we measure.

For example, you'll take an entire course on electrophysiology, which is the measurement of electrical processes in the cochlea, vestibulocochlear nerve, auditory brainstem, and cortex. The information contained in this module sets the stage for you to understand the basics of the nervous system, hearing, clinical equipment, and the universe itself!
